Good Lord I hope you're kidding... it all depends on what it's attempting to install there.

It's the default path for the game itself, not just user or machine specific data,it's easy enough to change the path yourself.

This. Just direct the installer to place the files where you want them to go. It'll work fine.

Indeed. For now I went with the default, figuring just in case they have to come out with any quick patches/updates that might somehow, in haste, end up being hard-coded to go to that location, so there's less chance of any oopsies. I figure I'll deal with re-pathing when playing the full launch when the time comes.

I noticed this as well and it really bugged me too, since i install all my games under c:/programfiles. When i altered the path to my c:/programfiles and then opened the .exe it said update available so i click ok, then immediately said patch error. It did this probably 10 times, so i uninstalled and reinstalled at the default location and all works well, so sounds like it could be a bug.

Im just glad i get to try it before launch so i can decide to pull the trigger or not on the game.

It is just a location, don't worry about it. Game runs fine in your local folder, it won't be seen any differently being ran elsewhere. If it's a problem just direct it elsewhere.

that is not the point, it should never go there, the devs need to change the default path to c: or //programs

the appdata should not have any files that are used by the user directly. it also would hide the game files from most people.
